Hvar Island Motor Boat Getaway

Explore one of Croatia's most beautiful archipelagoes

No visit to Dalmatia would be complete without some quality time on the water, and what's a better way to do this than a private motor boat day trip to Croatia's premier island of Hvar?
Starting from Split or the neighboring island of Brac, arrive in style by private speedboat or luxury yacht to what Conde Nast names 'one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world'.
The choice of things to see and do on Hvar is enviable. Home to the birth of organized tourism in Europe in 1868, the main town, also called Hvar, has abundant treasures to show. The town is largely centered around the main square, or pjaca, the largest in all Dalmatia at 4,700m2. Protecting its entrance is the stunning Arsenal building, with the oldest public theatre in Europe on its first floor, and contrasted by the striking Benedictine convent tucked away on the other side, where nuns produce lace from the agave planet, one of four UNESCO recognized traits on Hvar, the only island in the world with such a number.
Climb the steps to the imposing Spanish Fortress and your efforts will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the town and the emerald Pakleni Islands in front of the town, one of the iconic views in all Croatia.
Walk along the fabled Hvar Riva, labeled as the new St. Tropez, and see if you can spot a celebrity or two - such as Tom Cruise, Roman Abramovich and Beyonce, who are all recent visitors. Past the legendary Carpe Diem club, round to the 550 year-old Franciscan Monastery, one of the oldest surviving buildings in the town.
And don't forget to indulge in the local food and wine! Lunch will be enjoyed at divine Pakleni islands, in a familial konoba serving fine traditional food of godly simplicity! Hvarska gregada is one of island's celebrated fish dishes. One of its wines, Bogdanusa, translates literally to "gift from God", which says enough about wine means on this island. Do not miss it!
This tour is complete with a tour of the magical Pakleni Islands, a picturesque collection of islands in front of Hvar Town, with seemingly endless beaches, coves and breathtaking views. After all that fun in one day, the return trip to Split or Brac is the perfect way to end a special day.

Collection from your hotel, villa or private apartment in Hvar, Brac or Split by our English speaking professional skipper. Towels, snorkeling gear, non-alchocolic refreshments on board included.

Palmizana - Pakleni Islands

Located on the largest of the Pakleni archipelago, the island of Sv. Klement, Palmižana is an uninhabited bay with a tourism tradition dating back to 1906. It was then that prof. Eugen Meneghello, at his family estate, started what is today a wondrous botanical garden rich in succulents, cacti and other types of exotic plants and a guesthouse, both of which were intended to compliment the mesmerizing nature of the island, instead of contrasting it. This philosophy continues even today when Palmižana is a marina with 200 berths for boats and yachts, making this traffic free island, along with its beautiful Adriatic surroundings, a heaven for families, enchanted sailors and romantic travelers alike.
