Dubrovnik Riviera Highlights

A day of discovering the riches and tastes of Dubrovnik riviera

Rarely can a historic city with such immense visual appeal as Dubrovnik offer visitors sights worth exploring outside of its historic center. However, this UNESCO World Heritage jewel is just a part of the most dramatic coastline boasting numerous wonderful spots and places to discover.
Experience all of the highlights of the Dubrovnik Riviera in a one day trip! We start in the Old Town with an hour long, classic walking tour, seeing all the main sights before continuing to the top of Srdj hill with the cable car. Resting high above the Old Town, this is the ideal spot for a spectacular panorama view of the town and surrounding islands that is guaranteed to take your breath away.
Next, head south of majestic Dubrovnik to the most charming town of Cavtat and the rolling arcadial Konavle valley. These are the very southernmost parts of Croatia before it meets the rugged coastline of Montenegro. Cavtat's past, present and future are very closely tied to Dubrovnik's and this historically rich area is a delight - its old town is a warren of narrow streets and cobbled alleys and the serpentine waterfront promenade frames a picturesque harbor.
After visiting Cavtat and a short coffee break we continue to our final destination, the beautiful interior of the area known as the Konavle valley. Framed by the southern mountains of Herzegovina and Montenegro, its small population lives in some 32 picturesque villages scattered across this south-easterly tip of Croatia. What makes Konavle so intriguing is how its folk traditions and way of life have remained so intact, including the traditional preparation of its signature culinary dish. We complete this tour in an authentic tavern deep in the hillside where you will get to savor the finest lamb slowly roasted under a thick iron pan covered in hot coals, also known as a 'Peka'. Yours to enjoy with a glass of delicious local wine!
Cavtat and Konavle valley are one of the most picturesque areas of the Croatian coast and a day trip filled with remarkable culture, amazing sceneries and an altogether perfect experience!

Collection from your hotel, villa or meeting point by our professional English speaking chauffeur and local licensed guide in a comfortable luxury sedan car or passenger van, private walking tour of the Old Town, Mt. Srdj panorama, tour of Cavtat town, coffee break and an authentic, traditional peka lunch in the Konavle valley.

At the location of modern day Cavtat there used to be a Greek colony called Epidaurum, taken over by the Romans in 228 BC. They established their own colony here and named it Epidaurus.
During the Slavic and Avar raids of the 7th century, inhabitants fled Epidaurus and retreated to the ancient Illyrian hill forts in modern Župa Dubrovačka and beneath the Srđ hill where they participated in establishing a settlement called Ragusa. Today Ragusa is known worldwide as the beautiful city of Dubrovnik!
