The Wine Cellars of Istria


A symphony of gastronomic delights—visits to two major wine cellars (Matosevic and Pilato) with an authentic Istrian lunch. Our tour begins at 9AM to take you to the wine cellar of Croatia's best known wine maker, Ivica Matosevic, to taste some of the best wines accompanied by local delicacies. Seafood lunch at beautiful Lim Fjord then it’s on to picturesque Vizinada to enjoy the wines of the Pilato family, best known for their exceptional Chardonnay and Malvasia. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.


Truffle Hunting in Istria, Motovun Forest

Our first stop is the pretty village of Vrh overlooking Lake Butoniga, where we will meet the family that first started truffle hunting in Istria! Our tasting includes a variety of wonderful truffle products--cheese with truffles and even truffle biscuits. Then we head downhill, led by specially trained dogs to the famous Motovun forests to try your luck with black and even the precious white truffles!

Hiking tour of Mirna River (2 - 2,5 h) - 200 Euros We begin in the charming village of Buzet and walk along the Istria’s most beautiful river - River Mirna. Through lovely forests and climbing over large rocks (all easy!) we reach picturesque waterfalls at Garjak and the popular Kotli springs and waterfalls. After a snack at the local tavern we return back to your hotel Private guided tour of Pula--from the Roman to the Austro-Hungarian Empires - 120 Euros No walking tour of Pula is complete without a professionally guided visit to its world-famous Roman Amphitheatre, the Roman Temple of Augustus and then, its amazing Austro Hungarian heritage from the period when Pula was the main naval base.
